Oscars 2013

Did you miss them? That's okay! Because I (Ashton) am here to fill you in on all the important facts (including worst dressed) about the Oscars last night!

Let's start with who won the awards:
I just put a link because there were so many awards. :)

Best dressed?
Well personally, this one took the hat:
I mean, absolutely GORGEOUS if you ask me. It's a mermaid dress and it was just STUNNING on stage! (I'm beginning to see a pattern: "Best Dressed" usually goes to mermaid dresses in my mind)

Worst dressed?
There was a lot of competition but this one had to win:
Of course she was obviously wearing something she liked, which is what matters. But you got my opinion!

I sure hope this helped if you missed the Oscars! And, of course, all of this is just my opinion (except for who the awards went to!) and you're welcome to have your own thoughts! Fell free to comment below on who you thought had the best performance, was best dressed, AND who was worst dressed!

Food Friday: Best Brownies EVER!

These are the BEST BROWNIES EVER! Come on, we dare you to make them and find out for yourself!

Ingredients:
1 C unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 C granulated sugar
¾ C light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
2½ C all-purpose flour
1 Tsp baking soda
1 Tsp salt
2 C (12 ounces) milk chocolate chips

1 (18-ounce) package Double Stuffed Oreos

1 Family Size (9×13) Brownie mix (or our delicious fudgy brownies homemade recipe!)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9x13-inch pan, line with parchment paper, and then butter the parchment paper.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Cream together the butter and both sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 to 5 minutes. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well to thoroughly combine. Reduce the mixer speed to low and slowly add the flour mixture into the mixer until the flour is just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread the cookie dough in the bottom of the prepared 9×13 baking dish.

3. Top the cookie dough with a layer of Oreos.

4. Mix together the brownie mix according to the package directions, adding ¼ cup of hot fudge topping to the mix. Pour the brownie batter over the cookie dough and Oreos. Bake for 45-55 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing into bars. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.

And there you have it! YUMYUMYUM!

bon appétit!

I mean, absolutely GORGEOUS if you ask me. The picture doesn't show it, but it's a mermaid dress and it was just STUNNING on stage!

Worst dressed?
There was a lot of competition but this one had to win:
Kimbra
(Kimbra)

Of course we must have a Runner-Up for worst dressed:

Of course they both obviously wore something they liked, which is what matters. But you got my opinion!

I sure hope this helped if you missed the Grammys! And, of course, all of this is just my opinion (except for who the awards went to!) and you're welcome to have your own thoughts! Fell free to comment below on who you thought had the best performance, was best dressed, and who was worst dressed!

Superbowl #47

This. Is. History.

It's the first time EVER that the team I (Ashton) was rooting for won the Superbowl.

Yup, I was rooting for the Ravens! -I really have no idea who Amber wanted to win, she doesn't really like football-But anyhoo, I wanted the Ravens to win because they beat the Patriots, which means the Patriots were beaten by the team that won the Superbowl! Which makes them look better than if they were beaten by #2. :)

And did you see the "so God made a farmer" commercial? It was definitely the best one :)

Yup, that's the whole post. And yup, I forgot to post the "Food Friday" and the "Spa Sunday" posts.

Go have a leftover, cold, delicious piece of pizza?
