O.K. So we found this idea on Pinterest, followed the link to a blog, then followed that blog's link to another blog! And now we are posting it on our blog! Enjoy!
Supplies:

Yarn
YES! That's all! But you'll want your scissors to be sharp :)
*Before you start, cut an 8-10 inch piece of yarn and a 15 inch piece of yarn. Just set them aside to be used in later steps.
Next, use your 8-10 inch piece of yarn and wrap it around the center of your yarn ball (as shown above).
Thirdly, use your 15 inch piece to make a tail (tying it around the 8-10 inch piece).
Fourthly-we can't believe that's a word!-, cut the loopy part (the picture explains it better)
Finally, give your pompom thingamagiger a haircut! But be sure not to cut the 'tail'.
And that's it! You're done! Now, we're going to try and make one that
